Humphrey Goes to Los Angeles (Part 2)

We decided to do a family trip down to Los Angeles. Read Part 1 of this trip, which covers the road trip and our adventures on days 1 and 2.

DAY THREE - MALIBU, LA ARTS DISTRICT, DOWNTOWN LA

We headed over to Malibu to have lunch with our friends, three brindle frenchie brothers Auggie, Teddy and Bubba. We had lunch at Tra di Noi, an Italian restaurant with a large patio that was dog-friendly (we had four dogs at the table). We had a long lunch and all four boys were so well behaved!

Our best attempt at getting all four pups in the photo.

After lunch, we walked around Malibu Country Mart, which has lots of boutiques. We got ice cream at Grom (a must!) and checked out a cool gallery.

Waiting patiently outside Grom (shop Humphrey's bow tie collar here, leash here)

"Can I get some extra spots?" (at Wall-Street Gallery)

Afterwards, we headed over to LA Arts District for some shopping. Having a doggy stroller really came in handy when shopping. Check this out to see it in action.

The Art District has lots of hip boutiques and cool wall art. (shop Humphrey's backpack here)

In the evening we went to a rooftop bar called Broken Shaker in Downtown LA to meet our friends for a few drinks. They were dog-friendly, but we still brought our doggy stroller anyways and Humphrey stayed in it for most of the time there as he was getting tired.

"Why do I just get water? I want a fancy drink." (shop Humphrey's scarf here)

DAY FOUR - ABBOT KINNEY

We had a productive morning and started the day with a business meeting. For lunch we had a small celebration (Humphrey's first birthday and our first anniversary, which are just a day apart) at Cattle & Claw (details on Part 1). Then we stopped by Max Bone to meet Parisa, the founder and CEO of this amazing brand (Thank you for playing dress-up and the cute outfit!). It was so inspiring to meet the woman behind this very successful company. We really did meet many inspiring women on this trip!

Afterwards, we headed over to Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, just minutes away from Venice Beach. We had the entire afternoon to ourselves and just walked around and enjoyed a slow day browsing shops and getting yummy bites.

"What a nice, relaxing afternoon!" (Bow tie collar: Max Bone)

DAY FIVE - PASADENA, DRIVE BACK HOME

We checked out of our hotel early in the morning for a coffee date with our friend, beauty influencer and boss babe Vinna Gracia, who recently launched her own make-up line, Minuet. We met at Intelligentsia Coffee in Pasadena.

The last time we met was in April when Vinna visited San Francisco. This was prior to the launch of both Spotted By Humphrey and Minuet, so it felt so great to catch up and talk about our new businesses. Vinna has two adorable french bulldogs, Zoé and Brooklyn. We were so happy to gift matching bow tie collars for Zoé and Brooklyn. Vinna brought the Minuet palette as a gift - and it is the most beautiful 5-in-1 palette, which includes 4 eyeshadow colors, bronzer, contour, highlighter and blusher!

After coffee, we did a quick walk before hitting the road so Humphrey could get some exercise in. And then off we went on our way back home!

This leash came in very handy during our trip as we could be hands-free! (shop the leash here, leash bag here -- both available in multiple colors)
