During our recent trip to Los Angeles, we had the pleasure of staying at Sofitel in Beverly Hills. Sofitel was truly a gracious host during our 5 day stay there. Located in Beverly Hills, this was a central location to stay. Not to mention, Beverly Hills is a super dog-friendly neighborhood. Staying in a dog-friendly area makes all the difference while traveling with your pup. There were so many great restaurants and cafes within walking distance that happily welcomed Humphrey, which made things so easy for us.
THE ROOM
Upon arrival, Humphrey was greeted by the staff in the lobby and we were brought to our room with an amazing view of the hills - we could even see the Hollywood sign!

Our room was beautiful and luxurious with a hint of Hollywood glamour, of course, and equipped with a very comfy doggy bed and bowls (we got so many questions on the bowls from our Instagram Stories -- it was really pretty!)

Let's talk about the human bed -- it was like sleeping on a cloud. It's often overlooked how important it is to get good sleep while traveling, especially as you're already out of your usual routine.

PET-FRIENDLY PET POLICY
What really sets apart Sofitel Los Angeles as a dog-friendly hotel is their Pet Policy. First of all, pets stay for free – no additional charge or deposit taken at reservation or check-in. Even though there are a lot of hotels that allow pets to stay at the hotel, most of them will charge an additional fee for having them. While I understand why most hotels will charge a fee, I think this just makes it clear that Sofitel Los Angeles not only allows pets, but welcomes them and are dedicated to distinguishing themselves as a leading pet-friendly hotel.
Secondly, the hotel offers a partnership with a nearby daycare that gives guests discounts on daycare and dog walking, as pets can’t be left alone in rooms. We did not need this service as Humphrey came everywhere with us on this trip, but it's worth mentioning as this would come in handy for those that have meetings or events that they can't bring their pup to.
DOG-FRIENDLY RESTAURANT - CATTLE & CLAW
We were invited to dine at the hotel's restaurant, Cattle & Claw, and it was the perfect place to have an early celebration for Humphrey's first birthday and our first anniversary.
The outside dining area feels like an enchanted garden, with butterflies and so many colorful flowers.

THE SERVICE
It's all in the details...and Sofitel staff really went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. By the end of the trip, some of the staff already knew Humphrey by name. Everyone - from valet, front desk, concierge... I mean everyone - were always so attentive and friendly.
Spotted: Humphrey acting like a Hollywood star at Sofitel's lobby. The staff treated him with the same respect and service as they would to any human guests.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at Sofitel Los Angeles, and cannot wait to be back!
